A Gentleman in Moscow is the latest book I've read by author Amor Towels. This is the story about Count Alexander Rostov, a thirty-year-old Count deemed an unrepentant aristocrat by the Bolshevik Revolution. He is sentenced to house arrest in an attic of a grand hotel across the street from the Kremlin. His life is reduced to what he sees from his tiny attic window and the happenings of the hotel he is imprisoned. Brimming with humor, a glittering cast of characters, and one scene after another, this novel casts a spell as it relates the Count's endeavor to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a man of purpose.
